Our planet has become local and social with our new media techniques.  

 

But sometimes we are not all one family living happily together.

We now all live in a mixed and sometimes confused world where we all have a unique character that distinguishes us and sometimes makes us stand out from others.

 

Leather is similar ;  not one skin is the same as another. We are obliged to respect this character when working with this material. We can even take advantage of this “imperfection”, especially when weaving leather straps.

 

We as individuals , as humans ,  tend to group together and follow certain rules, beliefs, religions, customs, developing certain habits and ways of living  : A culture.

When using leather, we also group together, select different grades, and buy hides from different breeding areas.

 

As we should respect and sustain each and every culture, every race and color, every religion, we often find, that despite our differences, we all have something, in common. We are all living on this small planet - not just thinking for ourselves.
